While Covid-19 has made us more distant and separated physically, Social media and online portals have been important in bringing us closer and making us acquainted with the outer world. Brands are using these to create a strong bond and relationship with the customers by using Influencer Marketing. It has been a good year for influencer marketing campaigns in India and it is here to stay as people trust recommendations from influencers.
Lets have a look at the influencer marketing campaigns in India that were spot on in the first part of 2020:

#WhatsYourRepeat Campaign by Gillette Venus:
A campaign that highlights the spirit of Real Women in an authentic way. Women influencers from various backgrounds (from films to football) collaborated for this campaign and shared their daily hustle stories and what they love to do on Repeat. A Venus product user herself, Ananya Pandey was the face of the campaign and the campaign portrayed how Venus Breeze is a constant companion in women’s daily adventures.

#ColourLikeKaran Godrej Expert Campaign with Karan Johar
With Karan Johar turning 48, Godrej Expert did not miss out a perfect opportunity to reach out to millions wishing him a happy birthday. Just as normal people cribbing about their greys as they turn old, Karan Johar talked about how he was being called buddha by his own kids and not getting any father roles in films. And very playfully showed how easily you can color your hair and say bye bye to your greys during the lockdown without your hairdresser. Way to go Godrej expert!!

#MainKyunPehenu Campaign by Peter England
Actor Ayushmann Khuranna taking charge of Peter England’s #MainKyuPehenu campaign and becoming the brand ambassador was a great step by Peter England to connect with the young people of India. A message well written and crafted to highlight the importance of wearing a face mask while going out was delivered meticulously and was well acknowledged. This embarks a long engagement between Peter England and Ayushmann.
